Hey guys, I'm happy to announce that Risk Malaysia version 1.3 is finally out and can be downloaded now!
It was a very long 5 grueling years working on this mod title on and off, and after its fixed release I can say I am more than elated to see it finally come to life. Hopefully you guys can download, start that old aging Warcraft III again and get together with old mates for that "one more round", Malaysian style. This is confirmed to be my LAST game mod with the Warcraft III engine under |-|/\/|\ Games.
I can say a LOT was removed from the final version due to the 8MB file limitation, but the changes are not so significant to the mod's gameplay (of course, the units have to use the core game's default sounds, music etc.) but hopefully, HOPEFULLY the works on the sequel can begin. Yes, Risk Malaysia II is in the works. With its own game engine, interface and all. I will gladly welcome individuals interested to join the project. PM for details!
I would like to say thank you to the Hiveworkshop modelers (credited in-game), my loyal comrades (especially Dollah, 007 and Asfanz), the late Tom Clancy for his inspirations and of course my lovely partner for her unbroken support back when we were dating all the way until she became my wife.

Invasion of Anchorage
The Invasion of Anchorage refers to the military landing operation orchestrated by China's 213th People's Army on the cold November 26th code-named 西部风 (Xībù fēng) or "Operation Western Wind".
As the relationship between the United States and the People's Republic of China deteriorates after the great economic collapse, the discovery of a major deep-sea oil deposit in the Pacific Ocean further intensified the hostility. China laid claim to the deposit but the pipeline construction was allegedly sabotaged by American secret operatives on October 29th.
At 0500 hours the Chinese launched an EMP Strike on the American western shore, causing communications and electrical failures. Amidst the chaos, the 213th People's Army landed on the shores of Anchorage, Alaska at 0600 hours and usurped control of Alaska's oil pipelines and reserves as a retaliation. The U.S. forces managed to assemble a sizable counter-attack force a few hours later and launched Operation Reclamation to push the Chinese forces out of Alaska.
This invasion marked the official beginning of World War III where U.S. and its allies are thrown into war with China and the Socialist Bloc.

The Daub Disaster
The Daub Disaster refers to the detonation of a dirty tactical nuclear device which devastated both EU and Chinese armed forces there.
On the cold September 30th morning, EU and Chinese were engaged in a heated battle in the evacuated mining town of Daub, Tarastan. After catching EU hackers sabotaging their military mainframes earlier, China's 111th Tank Division was in the midst of pushing EU's 20th Enforcers Corp out of the town centre.
At 1237 hours, a tactical nuke detonated, taking out both opposing sides and turned Daub into a desolate radioactive crater. Both EU and the Chinese traded blames of who was responsible for the cowardly attack. EU and China, along with the rest of the Socialist Bloc, officially declared war at 1500 hours.
The bomb was identified to be similar with the ones sold by the Merchants of War. However, due to their discreet nature it can only be theorised that the bomb was purchased by The Brotherhood with the objective to thwart the Loyalists' effort by distracting EU with a full-on conflict with China and the Socialist Bloc. However, no one stepped forward to claim responsibility and the Daub Disaster marked the beginning of World War III.

Malaysia is formerly a federal constitution monarchy country in the South East Asia region. The country fell into anarchy a few days after the Great Economy Collapse.
The Great Economic Collapse
After the American debt default sent devastating domino effects around the globe, Malaysians witnessed the horrors of the ensuing super-inflation and unstoppable Ringgit devaluation. Banks simply shut down and riots took place all over the nation with looters and protesters turned the streets into a complete state of chaos.
Amidst the chaos, several individuals rose among the smoke and flames to bring the country back to its former glory, or better. These individuals brought with them new ideologies such as nationalism, socialism and gaining EU support.
Malaysia During Risk Malaysia
As the anarchy died down, aspiring leaders appeared all over Malaysia with the goal to unite its people and bring a semblance of control and authority to the broken nation. The ideologies being brought forward are nationalism, socialism and getting support from EU. Battles took place over land, sea and air as these leaders gathered their followers and built their own army.
However, Malaysia sits at the very crossroad where Chinese and United States armadas are set to collide in the impending Sino-American Conflict. In addition, the threat from the fanatical Brotherhood looms in the horizon...

The Great Economy Collapse
The Great Economy Collapse refers to the fictional economical 'apocalypse' which saw the global financial systems and institutions crash and fail in Risk Malaysia. The effect was foreseen from the trend of the increasingly deteriorating economic recessions as seen in the 1990s' Asian financial crisis and the late 2000s global financial crisis. With the United States defaulting its debts, the domino effect it created rippled across the globe and ultimately bring the known existing economy down on its knees.

The United States were struggling with its debts and raised its debts ceiling to survive the remaining financial years. In other countries, Greece's economy simply collapsed and inflation were felt worldwide. China's attempt to devalue its Yuan further pressured the Dollar and destablised the currencies.

After the United States announced it has defaulted its debts, the global financial system crashes. Worldwide nations' economies failed followed by super inflation and devaluing of their currencies. Anarchy and state of emergencies occurred globally as the populace panicked and sought to survive, with some countries which are economically-strong barely able to keep its government afloat.
China, being the biggest holder of U.S. debt by owning $1.3trillion of U.S. treasuries as of June 2015, was infuriated with the action and demanded a call to de-Americanise the world. This tension between the two superpowers later built up and escalated into the Sino-American War.

Tarastan is a former Soviet republic land locked nation between the China and Russia. The nation is ruled by President Mukhammat's regime for 54 years before the country went into anarchy shortly after the Great Economy Collapse.
The Ambokh Riot
Days after the global economy collapsed, anarchy ensued in the streets of the capital city of Ambokh. Civilians, incited by the hatred towards the government's inefficiency, marched towards the Presidential Palace to oust President Mukhammat and his long-standing regime which they perceived as corrupt.

The riot went out of control and major parts of the city burned down as opposition and pro-government supporters clashed. The President eventually fled the country for his own safety. Brother Fayed, the apparent leader of the then-unknown Brotherhood group, took over the palace and installed the Brotherhood Council with himself at the helm.
The Siege of Ambokh
The EU was monitoring the situation in Tarastan for fear they might fall into the influence of the newly established Socialist Bloc. After the President's exile, Chancellor Andiron authorised airstrikes on Ambokh to assist forces loyal to President Mukhammat to recapture the capital. However, it became clear the force behind the riot was not mere opposition-party member shortly after 5 EU scouts were captured by armed militants who called themselves as the Great Brotherhood.
On September 24th, an early morning EU-loyalist joint operation was conducted to swiftly recapture the capital from militants. Drones and airstrikes assisted both EU and the loyalist ground forces as they sweep through key areas before they finally regained control of the Presidential Palace by sun down. The body which apparently belonged to Brother Fayed was found and the loyalists declared themselves victorious.
However, at 2200 hours Brother Fayed uploaded a video warning the loyalists that their victory is short-lived and the Brotherhood will retake the city. Battle-weary and thinking the video could have been pre-recorded as an attempt to taunt them, the loyalists and EU forces set up defenses for potential retaliations. At 0300 hours, two Brotherhood-affiliated splinter cells, Al Brotherhood and Brotherhood State, launched coordinated suicidal and guerrilla attacks on the Presidential Palace and ultimately pushed the loyalists and EU forces out of Ambokh.

The Chinese army has been sighted stationed at the eastern Tarastanian borders while Russian military weapons and hardware have been spotted being distributed to the loyalists, confirming EU's fear that the Socialist Bloc intend to annex Tarastan. However, both EU and the Socialist Bloc are waiting for each other's move and any militaristic action in the war-torn Tarastan could lead to war between the two factions.
The conflict finally escalated when EU hackers were detected breaking into the Chinese military mainframe. The EU and China, with support from the Socialist Bloc, unofficially went to war and were engaged in skirmishes in Tarastan in the midst of the loyalist and Brotherhood conflict.
On September 30th at 1237 hours a dirty tactical nuke, allegedly bought by the Brotherhood from the Merchants of War, detonated in the evacuated Tarastan mining town of Daub where both EU and Chinese ground forces were engaged in battle. With no clear evidence as to whom was responsible, EU and Chinese generals traded blames and declared war at 1500 hours.
The once scenic mountainous Tarastan has now turned into the deadliest epicenter of World War III with EU, Socialists, Loyalists and Brotherhood forces engaging each other in battle.
